Bayern Munich are keeping a close tab on Atletico Madrid star Thomas Lemar.
The French forward who was a part of the FIFA World Cup winning team has been on the fringes of Diego Simeone’s team at Atletico.
Lemar was a sensational player back in Ligue 1 for the former championship-winning side AS Monaco. However, ever since his move to Atletico, he has struggled to adjust.
The winger has seen it tough to adjust to life in Spain. He has been given a lot of chance but has failed to make them count.
He has been injured quite often. Although when healthy and brought on the pitch, he has been less than effective.
Hence, with Atletico failing to use him well, there has been talks of him joining other clubs. This has seen Arsenal and Bayern Munich come into the picture.
The German giants have been desperately looking for wingers in the game for almost two seasons now. Their first two targets Leroy Sane of Manchester City and Callum Hudson-Odoi of Chelsea have not worked out so far. It has now seen them develop their interest in Thomas Lemar again.
With Ivan Perisic’s loan deal about to expire in the summer, Lemar maybe the long term answer we are looking for!
