Another Injury Blow For Chelsea Football Club
Blues midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has returned to Stamford Bridge early after suffering an injury while on England Under-21 duty.
Even though the 20-year-old was unused in the 3-2 victory over Italy he but has picked up an ‘unspecified’ injury during training.
Ruben has now been ruled out of Monday’s clash with France in Bondoufle and will now head home to Stamford Bridge to be assessed.
The midfielder has been struggling to impose himself under Antonio Conte this season, with just one Premier League appearance coming off the bench, and this injury could further harm his first-team chances.
The Blues are also worried about star striker Diego Costa after the Spain international also returned early to London due to a knock he picked up with the national side.
