Liverpool captain a doubt for Euro 2016 with knee injury
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has picked up a knee injury will miss the rest of the club season and is a major doubt for Euro 2016.
Henderson is thought to have sustained the injury during Liverpool’s game at Borussia Dortmund yesterday evening, and has had a scan today.
He came off at half-time after picking up the knock during the Europa League quarter final first leg, and the scan has confirmed he has damaged a lateral collateral ligament.
It’s an injury that often keeps players out for over 3 months, but this is thought to be a less serious case.
Nevertheless, it does mean that Henderson is almost certain to miss the rest of Liverpool’s season, and is now also a major doubt for England’s Euro 2016 squad. This injury follows a heel injury picked up all the way back in August that kept him out for 3 months.
