Recenly appointed Cardiff City manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer may target out of favour winger Wilfried Zaha on loan until the end of the current Barclays Premier League campaign.

Solskjaer, who won his first game in charge in Saturday’s superb 2-1 victory away at Newcastle United at St James’ Park, with Zaha keen to go out and gain some first team footballing experience.

The youngster moved to Old Trafford for a hefty ÂŁ15 million fee from Crystal Palace last January, and was immediately loaned back out to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the 2012/13 campaign, as he helped the Eagles gain promotion to the Premiership.

Zaha has had a miserable start to his career in Manchester and would be keen on the Cardiff switch. And Solskjaer thinks he would help struggling City escape the drop, under new boss Solskjaer and controversial chairman Vincent Tan.

Zaha has also had rumours of his personal life thrown into doubt, with Newspapers focusing on his private life.

The winger has yet to feature in the Premier League campaign, and has fallen further down the pecking order with the emergence of youngster Adnan Januzaj.

That means that the winger looks set to rot on the bench at Old Trafford, if he cannot forge a loan move.

Zaha has also been tipped to return to Crystal Palace on a loan deal, with Tony Pulis interested in the Selhurst Park favourite to guide the Eagles away from the relegation zone.

Newcastle United and West Ham United have also expressed Aa recent interest.
