Marcos Alonso played for League One side Bolton during 2010 and 2013, and was part of the side that were relegated down to the Championship in 2012.

Since then he has re-formed his career in the Serie A with Fiorentina and was part of the Italian side that secured Europa League football last season.

Now according to the Telegraph, The Blues Boss see’s Alonso as a solution to his defensive issues.

Conte is also said to be a fan due to how the 25-year-old operated in defence and midfield.

Reports indicate Chelsea could make a bid before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
