Chelsea have planned another transfer raid on Barcelona as they are set to offer £10 million deal for midfielder Alex Song. The Blues recently announced the £27 million signing of Cesc Fabregas from the Spanish giants, but have insisted that the club still have unfinished business.
Song, 26, has been given permission to leave the Nou Camp this summer by Barcelona and Chelsea are keen on beginning negotiations immediately. Manager Jose Mourinho is out looking for another defensive-minded central midfielder to replace John Obi Mikel, who has been transfer listed.
Song has been seen as the perfect fit for the role and Chelsea want the deal to be done and dusted in the coming weeks. The Cameroon international is currently in Brazil representing his country at the World Cup.
