Chelsea have shown interest for Real Sociedad winger Antonie Griezmann.
They become the 3rd Premier League club to show interest in the 23-year-old, with Liverpool and Arsenal also in the race. And all the clubs’ chances of signing him have been boosted by the fact he has refused to extend his contract in Spain.
The winger is rated at around £25million, and has 2 years left on his current contract, leaving Sociedad running the risk of losing him for free should they refuse to sell. He enjoyed a wonderful season last year in La Liga, netting 16 goals and getting 3 assists. However, despite his performances Sociedad did not manage to finish in a European place, leading to Griezmann wanting out.
This leaves Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea locked in a 3 way battle to sign the talented youngster.
