We rank the Chelsea player ratings v Everton
Premier League champions Chelsea managed to register their second victory after an awful start to the campaign as they had a comfortable afternoon against an Everton side that failed to create even a single chance note.
Here, we run through the Chelsea player ratings v Everton from the Chelsea v Everton match
Thibaut Courtois (6)
A comfortable night for the Chelsea shot stopper.
Cesar Azpilicueta (7)
Kept the ball going and never gave the attacking opportunity a chance to get in and he also picked up the assist for Morata’s goal on a productive night for the Spaniard.
Antonio Rudiger (5)
Was quite wasteful with the ball on more than one occasion but was solid at the back, winning everything thrown at him by the visitors.
David Luiz (6)
Had very little to do at the back as he spent more time near the half-way line than he did in his own box.
Victor Moses (7)
Was a constant driving force on the wing and unsettled Everton every time he got on the ball, repaying his manager’s trust of starting him at right-wing back again.
N’Golo Kanté (7)
Controlled the midfield well and got the better of the young Davies and Gueye as he constantly won the ball back, keeping Everton on their toes and forcing mistakes all night.
Cesc Fabregas (8)
Literally ran the entire game, popping up in pockets of space in the final third and his sublime finish was what broke the deadlock on what could have been a long night for Chelsea.
Marcos Alonso (6)
Was not too effective in attack but Chelsea did not need him to be as they were comfortable playing through the middle with no pressure applied from the visitors.
Willian (6)
The Brazilian had a couple of exciting moments but was not his usual self as he failed to have the kind of an impact he is usually known for.
Pedro (6)
Missed a glorious chance in the second half but was decent in attack all night, creating a couple of half chances for Morata and Willian with some slick passing.
Alvaro Morata (7)
Still learning to adapt to the physical approach of the Premier League, Morata did well to score the header and give his side a cushion as he continued his productive start to his English career.
Substitutes
Tiemoue Bakayoko (6)
Added some strength and energy to the Chelsea midfield as he helped them see off the two-goal lead.
Michy Batshuayi (6)
Made a couple of decent runs but Everton started to turn the screws up late in the game and he had very little to do.
