Tottenham Hotspur left-back is a reported option for Jose Mourinho
Chelsea are showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose, according to reports.
It’s common knowledge that The Blues are in the market for a new left-sided defender after Filipe Luis left the club in order to rejoin Atletico Madrid, leaving just Cesar Azpilicueta as an option for that spot.
Luis failed to settle in England and didn’t impress Jose Mourinho during his time at Stamford Bridge, and now the Premier League champions are in the market to find a replacement.
Although a deal with Baba Rahman looks close to being finalised from Bundesliga side Augsburg, the deal is stalling and not getting done as quickly as Mourinho would like.
Therefore, he has turned his attentions elsewhere and is now considering a £15million swoop for Rose from White Hart Lane.
The Spurs left-back had an impressive campaign last year under Mauricio Pochettino, and could be in line for a stunning switch to Stamford Bridge.
It’s believed Rahman is still one of the main choices for Mourinho, but the 25-year-old from North London is also a discussed possibility.
Alex Telles from Galatasaray has also been mentioned in recent weeks.
