Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has said that discussions with Antonio Conte has led to the star staying at Stamford Bridge
Begovic is keen to fight for his place in the first team.
The 29-year-old shot-stopper has stated that talks with Chelsea’s new boss were very motivational for him.
“It was a clear situation – he made it clear, his philosophy; I never talked about leaving, Begovic told The London Evening Standard.
“Of course I want to play but at a big club you also have to accept you are part of a squad going for several trophies, different cups and be part of a big group.
“It’s nice that the manager wants you to be part of that. We have three top keepers. We train hard, we need to stay at the top of our games.”
Asmir is classed as a high-quality number two at Stamford Bridge, however, with no European football this term the Bosnian may very well be limited to only cup appearances.
