Chelsea are set to open talks with Loic Remy over a potential move, after a deal for Roma forward Mattia Destro has stalled, reports the Metro.
The Blues are keen to land another forward to cover for Diego Costa, who is out for six weeks with a hamstring injury, with Fernando Torres set to leave the club for AC Milan.
Mourinho is keen to land the QPR forward, who scored 14 League goals whilst on loan at Newcastle last season, following the collapse of a deal for long term target Mattia Destro.
QPR themselves are looking for over £10 million for the player.
