Chelsea’s Jeremie Boga reveals he would consider Marseille switch

Chelsea midfielder Jeremie Boga has revealed he is interested in joining Marseille if the opportunity were to present itself in the future.

Boga was born in the French city, and since gone on to play for the Ivory Coast, The midfielder subsequently joined Championship club Birmingham City on a season long loan, after signing a new three year contract with the Blues. He has started all six league games since he arrived at St Andrews at the start of September.

Speaking with Ultimo Diez (quotes via Le10 Sport), the 20 year old said playing for the Ligue One side would be a childhood dream of his.

“Yes, I will always be a supporter of Marseille, that’s for sure … And why not play for OM if the opportunity presents itself. As I was born in Marseille, it would be a kid’s dream.”

Boga joined Chelsea as a youth player back in 2009, and made his senior debut for the club against Burnley, but, unfortunately Gary Cahill was sent off in the 3-2 defeat unfortunately meant he was only on the pitch for 18 minutes, as he was replaced by defender Andreas Christensen.
