Chelsea defender Matt Miazga will spend another season in the Netherlands.

In an announcement made by Chelsea the club stated that United States defender Miazga will spend a second season on loan at Vitesse.

The 22 year old joined the blue from the New York Red Bulls back in 2016. Miazga joined Vitesse for the 2016-17 campaign – helping them finish fifth and win the KNVB Cup.

In an interview with Vitesse’s official website, Migaza said, “I felt very welcome and we have all made historic success. That success will be expanded this coming season and I will continue to develop myself.

“That’s why I returned as soon as possible after winning the Gold Cup. We are going to compete for the second prize in the club’s history.”

The American man helped the U.S.A win the Gold Cup where he scored his first international goal during the 3-0 win against Nicaragua helping the United States win their group and avoid Costa Rica in the quarterfinals.

Miasma will join fellow Chelsea loanees Fankaty Dabo, Charlie Colette and Mason Mount at the Dutch club.
