Liverpool striker rejects chance to move
Christian Benteke has rejected the chance to leave Liverpool after snubbing a move to the Chinese Super League.
The Belgian has struggled to impress since arriving at Anfield over the summer, spending most of his Liverpool career on the bench, and he’s already been tipped to leave the club.
Liverpool splashed out £32.4million on Benteke from Aston Villa, triggering his release clause, but following Brendan Rodgers‘ dismissal, the striker has struggled to break into Jurgen Klopp‘s first-team.
Despite the lack of strikers at his disposal, Klopp has preferred to use Roberto Firmino as a false number-nine rather than play Benteke.
Benteke Rejects Move
With his future in doubt, Benteke has been heavily linked with moves away from Anfield already, but according to reports, he has rejected a chance to leave by snubbing a move to China.
The 25-year-old could have been yet another name joining the Chinese Super League, following the likes of Ramires, Alex Teixeira, Jackson Martinez and Gervinho.
However, he rejected the move during the transfer window and is ready to fight for his place in Merseyside.
