Chelsea new boy Juan Cuadrado has been warned by team-mate Willian to expect stern competition in attacking midfield.

The Blues have an abundance of quality attacking players, but Willian insists competition is good for the team and can help him become a better player.

The Colombian, Cuadrado, joined Chelsea on deadline day for ÂŁ26.1 million and will have to compete with the likes of Willian, Eden Hazard and Oscar for a starting 11 spot.

Willian said: “It is true that with the arrival of Cuadrado, the competition for a place in the squad increases, but I will always fight for my place.”

He also added: “I always want to improve and that is why I always try to work hard to keep my place in the squad.”

The Brazilian has started 17 Premier League games this campiagn, whereas Cuadrado is set to make his Premier League debut at Villa Park on Saturday.
