The Gunners have agreed to pay £35m for Valencia’s Shkodran Mustafi
With the Germany defender and Deportivo la Coruña striker Lucas Pérezthis will take the spending in the summer transfer window for the club close to the £100m mark.
There has been mixed reactions from the Arsenal fans with pressure on Wenger to sign more quality players, but now with Mustafi set to make the move to Emirates Gooners can start to dispell the myth that the Frenchman is afraid to spend.
Credit to Wenger who has an eye for finding good footballers at the right price with Arsenal have already spent £35m on Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka and around £9m altogether on defender Rob Holding, forward Takuma Asano and midfielder Kelechi Nwakali.
