Kyle Scott has been promoted to Chelsea first-team squad and handed No.36 shirt
Scott joined the Blues as an Under-10 from Southampton and has been now invited to train with Antonio Conte’s first-team several times in recent weeks and has been rewarded for his performances.
The 19-year-old was just named in Chelsea’s Champions League squad for the 2017/18 campaign and will be hoping to impress the Italian at the club’s training base in Cobham.
Scott has been handed the No.36 shirt at Stamford Bridge and his next aim will be to get some game-time in Conte’s senior side,
Conte has confirmed that he will be rotating his squad in the coming weeks, which will no doubt give the young lad time to show his stuff.
‘It is necessary to rotate, seven games in 21 days is not easy,’ Conte said before Chelsea’s 6-0 thumping of Qarabag.
‘You risk a lot. The risk could be to play with the same players I did against Leicester and then the question would be: “why didn’t you change the team?”
One advantage of our thin squad has been Kyle Scott getting to train with the first team..and clearly he’s enjoying it!
