Luis Suarez is a man that often finds himself in the headlines, in the past this has been for controversial reasons. However so far this season for Liverpool he has been in inspired form after a rocky summer with the club, that threatened to see him leave the club.
However, after the ongoing Saga He has been in inspirational form and with two and a half years left on his contract Rodgers has hinted that there may be talks about a new contract for the Uruguayan superstar.
“We want him to stay and, with his contract running for two and a half years, I am sure there will be something between now and the end of the season to keep him here.”
However Rodgers main focus is to keep Suarez’s good form going especially with the injury to his SAS strike partner Daniel Sturridge who will be out injured over the pivotal Christmas period.
Suarez has also been earning praise from Liverpool legends such as Robbie Fowler who knows what its like to be idolized by the Liverpool faithful, who christened him as “God” during his spell at the club.
“I love him but I’m also starting to dislike him because he’s making all the ex-Liverpool strikers look very average,” Said Fowler whilst on Match of the day.
Time will tell whether Suarez will be offered a new contract and if so will he accept the offer.
