Injured Chelsea players and their expected return dates

Chelsea have had Eden Hazard missing due to injury at the beginning of the season, However,  he is back at full fitness for the Blues going into the international break.

But, Antonio Conte’s squad have picked up some more knocks along the way, with Danny Drinkwater still yet to make his debut for the club since his summer switch.

Baba Rahman has still been out since January after his long-term injury, but the latest is record signing Alvaro Morata who hobbled off in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Alvaro Morata

Injury sustained: Hamstring

Out since: September 30

Expected Back: Hopeful Crystal Palace – October14, more realistic Bournemouth – October 28

Conte said: “It’s a muscular problem. I don’t think it’s serious. He said to me, I prefer to stop myself otherwise I risk having a bad injury.

“The doctor will check the situation.”

Danny Drinkwater

Injury sustained: Calf

Out since: September 15

Expected Back: Hopeful Crystal Palace – October 14

What Conte said: (September 15) “He had a muscular problem in his calf. I think it’s very difficult to see him before the international break. He needs time to recover.

“It’s a pity because he was starting to work and to improve his physical condition. Now we have to move all these situations. And in two, three weeks, four weeks, I don’t know.”

Baba Rahman

Injury sustained: Knee

Out since: January 2017

Expected Back: January 2018

There was some hope that he would be in the Chelsea squad for the season, being named on the website, however he has not been given a number and it is likely that he will be loaned out once again.
