Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that striker Daniel Sturridge will be sidelined for two months with an ankle injury which he picked up in training on Friday afternoon.
The Reds boss confirmed the news ahead of their Premier League match with Hull City and it will come as a huge blow to their title hopes as the Englishman will now miss the busy festive period.
It has been confirmed that the collision in training with a team-mate has left the striker with ankle ligament damage and it was announced today that he will miss eight weeks.
