David Raya has been slammed for his recurring errors post Newcastle United defeat.
The Gunners unbeaten came to and last night after their controversial 1-0 defeat at the hands of Eddie Howe’s men.
Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon bagged three points for his side after a tussle between Gabriel Magalhaes and Joelinton in the box.
David Raya who joined the Gunners on loan has been slammed several times for his recurring errors since displacing Aaron Ramsdale in the No.1 spot.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher pinpoints that there is a huge problem when it comes to Raya’s position.
‘Let’s not get lost in all the VAR stuff,’ Carragher said on Sky Sports.
‘The Arsenal goalkeeper [David Raya] has, again, made another mistake and this is a massive problem now for Mikel Arteta.
‘This is a huge problem. Again he’s made the same mistake, like he did a couple of weeks ago at Chelsea, and he got away with it. He hasn’t got away with it here.
‘Now this a recurring theme with this goalkeeper a lot. He finds himself where he’s out of position and he can’t then reach the ball.’
