Fulham have tied up the signing of Lewis Holtby from Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the current Barclays Premier League campaign.

Rene Meulensteen has signed the German playmaker who will undoubtedly come in and make an impact, as Fulham look to climb up the table, and maintain Premier League survival.

The West London clun sealed a deal for the Spurs man, with a view to buy him in the summer.

Holtby only signed for Tottenham last January, after a switch from Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04, and looked promising during the second half of that campaign.

He has been used in a squad rotation system this year, with the midfielder a regular in the Cup competitions.

However, he wants first team football in the Premiership, and Fulham can guarantee that.

Holtby will earn ÂŁ70,000-a-week at Craven Cottage as Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen bids to revamp his side.
The German was recently a target for Everton, but Holtby will be moving across London to the Cottege.

Adel Taarabt has cancelled his loan at Fulham, and joined Serie A giants AC Milan on another loan deal from Queens Park Rangers.

Dimitar Berbatov also looks set to leave the Cottage, with Monaco interested.
