Matteo Darmian who is currently with Italy at Euro 2016, made the move to Old Trafford last summer from Torino.
Having just started just five of United’s final 21 games, The Italian endured a difficult campaign with United.
He has also been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, with Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona all reportedly interested in his services.
However the 26-year-old has now revealed that he expects to stay with the Red Devils next season, although he did add that he is yet to talk to the new United boss about his future.
“Today I am a United player,” he told Manchester Evening News.
“I have a contract and I think I will continue next season. But I have not heard from Mourinho.”
