Luis Suarez was annoyed when was taken off during their CL defeat against Chelsea.

Suarez who joined Atletico Madrid in the summer from Barcelona has been in commendable form in La Liga this season scoring 18 goals- the second-highest in the league.

However, he has struggled to find the back of the net in six successive games of the Champions League for his new club and was subbed off before the hour mark at Stamford Bridge.

‘It’s normal that he got angry when he was taken off, players want to stay on,’ Simeone said of Suarez.

‘We wanted a new way to attack them so we made changes.’

Diego Simeone was quick in admitting his side’s shortcomings and admitted that the Blues were the stronger side.

“We tried to go and press them, but they were able to get out of it, and we could not keep up with them,” he told reporters.

“You have to congratulate your opponents when they are the better team. We tried to press them up the field, worked hard. We couldn’t attack the way we like.”
