Everton manager Martinez continues to bring in players. This time it’s the former Wigan left-back Antolin Alcaraz who joins on a free transfer. He signed a 2 year deal with the Toffees on Tuesday night.
The 30-year-old’s contract with Wigan expired this summer and he didn’t have to wait long until someone offered him a contract somewhere else. It was his former boss Martinez who wanted the Paraguayan to continue to play for him.
Alcaraz follows Koné through the doors of Goodison Park as both former Wigan players reunite with their manager from last season, Roberto Martinez. Martinez has now made two signings from Wigan in as many days.
Last season was a difficult one for Alcaraz as he struggled with a groin injury and he only made 14 appearances.
