Liverpool Football Club have confirmed they have completed the signing of 24-year-old Sadio Mane from Southampton.
Mane put pen to paper securing a long-term contract after passing a medical at Melwood and agreeing personal terms . He will be officially be a Red on July 1st.
Immediately after signing the deal, Sadio told Liverpoolfc.com: “Today is a big day and I am very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
“It’s a club that has won a lot of trophies and has a big history.
“Now I am looking forward to meeting all the staff and my teammates and starting the season.”
After just two seasons in the Premier League with the Saints, Mane scored 25 goals in 75 appearances across all competitions.
The forward has a whopping 36 caps for Senegal and has netted 10 goals for his Nation.
Before the move over to St Mary’s back in 2014, he played for Metz and Red Bull Salzburg.
Mane comes in as the latest signing following Loris Karius, Joel Matip and Marko Grujic, in joining Jürgen Klopp’s new squad set up ahead of the new season.
