Samuel Chukwuese to start training immediately
Arsenal are on the verge of snapping up Nigerian wonderkid Samuel Chukwuese.
The Gunners have been trying to sign to 16 year old for a while after he caught their eye at the Under 17’s world cup last year.
It was thought that the deal was set to collapse until Arsenal made breakthrough talks, and he is now set to travel to London and join the club.
Diamond Football Academy president Martin Apugo told Nigerian Media: “Chukwueze is still joining Arsenal, he will travel any moment from now to start training with them.
“I didn’t want him to go to Arsenal, I wanted him to go somewhere else but he said he’ll be happy if he goes to Arsenal.”
He has agreed a 4-year deal that begins when he turns 18 next year.
