Eden Hazard has hailed the contribution of Maurizio Sarri but insists he wants to see the manager’s influence in a crisis situation.

Hazard has been at his sumptuous best this season as he has so far controlled the proceedings single handedly at the Stamford Bridge. The Belgian seemed to have lost his touch under former manager Antonio Conte and rumours regarding his future seemed to be in danger.

But the arrival of Sarri at the West London club saved the club from further blushes and currently the Belgian is enjoying his time at the club. The Italian’s style of play has suited Hazard and the attacker has burst to the scene as he has already netted five goals this season.

Hazard has no doubt in the manager’s capability but wants to see his managerial skills if the club enters a bad phase. “We try to keep the ball. When you are an offensive player you just want to keep the ball.

“We create a lot of passes and chances. Yesterday we had a bit of trouble [against West Ham] but I think the beginning of the season was great.

“He is a great manager, but it’s easy to say when you are winning games. We will see in a bad moment. For sure he is a great manager, and he showed that to the world.”
