Can out with ankle injury sustained vs Dortmund
It’s been confirmed that Liverpool midfielder Emre Can will be out with an ankle injury for 4-6 weeks.
Can picked up the injury on Thursday night in Liverpool’s astonishing game against Borussia Dortmund, and he was substituted off the pitch in the closing stages.
Can has made 46 appearences in all competitions this season for Liverpool, and has proved to be an asset for Jurgen Klopp in the middle of the midfield with Jordan Henderson, who is also out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.
Liverpool still have plenty of options in midfield, with Joe Allen, Lucas Leiva and James Milner all happy to play there, but the absence of both key men in midfield could be a big problem for Liverpool as they go for Europa League glory.
