Bayern Munich boss is a shock-option for England’s main job

England have put Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola on their wishlist for future managers, according to reports.

The Spaniard is out of contract at the Allianz Arena this summer, and according to reports, he could be set to leave the Bundesliga champions to seek a new adventure.

A lot of reports have linked him with taking over at the Etihad Stadium, in order to replace Manuel Pellegrini if Manchester City chose to sack the Chilean.

Pressure on Hodgson?

However, this morning’s reports have revealed England could offer him a job if they choose to part ways with Roy Hodgson after next summer’s European Championships.

England have already qualified for next summer’s tournament in France, but the FA could choose to sack the former-Liverpool boss if The Three Lions under-perform.

The 44-year-old has been a long-term target of Premier League trio Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, with all three considering him for jobs in the past few years.

However, the FA are prepared to pay the Spaniard ÂŁ10m-a-year to become the new England manager.
