2 and 3 month sentences for England supporters

Two England fans have been jailed in France just 3 days after scenes of great violence and war between supporters and police took place.

It has been confirmed that Alexander Booth and Ian Hepworth were locked up for two months and three months respectively.

20-year-old Alexander Booth was accused of throwing a plastic bottle at the police.

41-year-old Ian Hepworth was also accused of throwing a bottle at the police and then walking forward to pick up a second bottle.

The pair were both banned from entering France for 2 years after both appearing in court this afternoon.

The news comes after French police arrested 21 England fans for violent behaviour during the European Championships.
