Chelsea have close to 40 players on loan, and when we compared that to most teams in the Premier League – that is a ridiculous amount.
The problem is Chelsea have failed to really utilise this system, with Courtois the only notable player to make the cut.
The Blues have a smorgas board of quality player out on loan, and Conte will need to start looking at his options, and the Chelsea owner has reportedly given his thoughts apparently saying something about bringing back a few of the younge talent.
And I don’t think Roman is too worried about the Chelsea Players Salaries, considering he’s multi-billion dollar businessman.
With the Blues flying high on top of the Premier League, reliability and squad depth is absolutely essential and very crucial– Conte should look towards his loan list as a means of finding it.
With that said, Chelsea must consider re-calling these two players:
Andreas Christensen
He has everything: youth, experience, technical ability, defensive solidity. In a Chelsea side with the likes of Terry, Ivanovic and Cahill all lacking form – Christensen would provide a welcome break from defensive issues for Antonio Conte, everyone can see he is more than ready to take on a bigger role with the Blues, get him back to the club now and start breaking him in, you heard it here first, this guy is going to be a star.
