Klopp is looking to offload this player early

Mario Balotelli could finally end his Anfield nightmare permanently this summer, after Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray confirmed their interest in signing him.

The striker spent this season on loan at AC Milan, but he could only muster up one goal in 20 appearances for the Serie A club.

Now Balotelli has returned to Liverpool, but the Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp is desperate to move him on as he aims to shape his squad for the 2016/17 campaign.

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi refused to keep the 25-year old at the San Siro, and until now only La Liga side Espanyol and newly promoted Serie A club Crotone had shown tentative interest in signing the controversial centre forward.

However, it has emerged via SportMediaset that the Turkish giants Galatasaray are now the favourites to sign Balotelli.

The Italian will be hoping a move to Istanbul can help revive his career, after poor form at club level saw him miss the cut for Antonio Conte’s Italy squad for Euro 2016.
