Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is very close to signing a new contract, and is to put pen to paper ‘imminently’, claim The Sun.
Mignolet has not fit his best form so far this season for the Merseyside club, with some indifferent displays.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to retain the services of the Belgian stopper, and the player is in advanced talks over a new £60,000 per week deal.
The impending announcement is the latest bit of transfer news from the Anfield club, coming days after Marco Grujic is expected to arrive from Red Star Belgrade.
The move for Grujic comes despite the player’s father denying that a move is coming.
Mignolet has two years remaining on his current deal. He arrived from Sunderland in 2013 for £9m.
