Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs sits at the top of the Premier League table.
The North London side has not won any silverware in the last 15 years but currently rules the Premier League table.
Spurs have secured 23 points from a possible 27 so far this season and are two points ahead of title holders Manchester City.
New manager Ange Postecoglou’s primary focus was to lay the groundwork at Tottenham in this new campaign.
Spurs have been perfect under the former Celtic manager and has also brought out the best out of James Maddison this season.
“It doesn’t really add any significance because whatever happens Friday night there’s still a full round of Premier League fixtures to be played and nothing of any real significance comes of that,” Postecoglou said.
“We’re in a good space at the moment but, again, we’ve still got plenty of work to do to make sure what we do now is sustainable. That’s the main thing.
“It’s not about making a short-term impact. It’s about building something which hopefully brings sustained opportunities of success for the club.”
