It seems though that the Turkish side are keen to push a deal through and complete the signing before any kind of Liverpool-shaped setbacks.
The 30-year-old is currently at Fiorentina, who he joined from Bayern Munich in 2013, but since the move, Gomez has only managed 29 appearances.

The news may come as a disappointment to Brendan Rogers who may have been trying too offload Mario Balotelli, and bring in a replacement at the same time.
