Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech believes luck has played a part in the Gunners’ lack of clean sheets this season.
The Czech stopper retired after last summer’s European Championship to focus on his club duties at the Emirates Stadium.
Cech kept 16 clean sheets last term to win the Premier League’s Golden Glove award, but has kept just six in 20 games this season.
He believes that while the defence has been impressive, they have been unlucky – especially when giving away penalties.
“So far it’s a kind of a different campaign because I think I have been doing well but if you take clean sheets, we had a run of games where we conceded at least one goal,” Cech told Arsenal’s official website.
