Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, but they may face competition from Premier League rivals.
Manager Antonio Conte is considering shuffling his pack when the January transfer window opens, which could mean some players leaving.
Most notable among these include defender Branislav Ivanovic, and midfielders John Obi Mikel and Spaniard Cesc Fabregas.
Kondogbia moved to Inter last year from French side Monaco, and has failed to replicate the form he showed prior to the move.
Chelsea are not the only Premier League side keen on the Frenchman, 23, with up to five other sides also keen.
Chelsea may also turn their attentions to Milan Badelj of Fiorentina, Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi, or may decide to go back in for Radja Naingggolan of Roma.
Kondogbia was a part of the France squad at the 201e Under-20 World Cup in Turkey, where scored their opener against Ghana in a 3-1 win, before also finding the net as they went out to the hosts in the Round of Sixteen.
