Chelsea legend John Terry has been singing the praises of new Blues signing N’Golo Kante.
Kante arrived at Stamford Bridge this summer in a £32m from Premier League champions Leicester City.
“It is a great signing for us and he was incredible last year,” Terry told Goal following the Blues’ International Champions Cup win over AC Milan in Minneapolis.
“It is great to have him part of our squad and all the new boys we have got are looking good so I am delighted and looking forward to getting back to now.
“He was very good tonight, he has looked very good in training but he has not been back too long.”
Kante himself can not wait to get started with his new club, after his debut in which he replaced Victor Moses against Milan.
The French international said: ‘I chose Chelsea because I spoke with the manager here and when I did that, I felt the capacity of the manager and that is why I made my decision,
‘And of course I like Premier League football and that is why I decided to stay in the Premier League.
‘I need to get fit because I have just come from a holiday, I had a little break since the Euros, and now the pre-season comes and I have to be ready for the Premier League. I think what is important to fight for winning the ball it is the spirt. I have had that since I started playing football, so it is the spirit but I need to be fit for doing it.
‘Like everyone I am sometimes tired, but if I need to run I will try to run.’
