Chelsea defender Gary Cahill took to social media to lambast referee Andre Marriner after today’s game with Swansea, according to the Daily Mail.

Antonio Conte’s side drew 2-2 in the Premier League encounter, a result which ended their one hundred per cent start to the campaign.

Cahill looked to have been fouled by Leroy Fer in the build-up to Swansea’s second goal at the Liberty Stadium.

However Marriner allowed play to continue, and Chelsea were made to pay.

Cahill vented his disappointment after the game on Twitter, uploading a couple of Tweets.

His first tweet was a clip that showed Fer appearing to make contact with him before he also posted the word ‘incredible’ in response to Marriner’s decision to allow play to continue.

Cahill’s tweets followed Italian manager Conte’s reaction to the Swans’ second goal.

‘I think there is a great mistake, a great mistake of the referee. But this can happen.’

In an interview with Sky Sports he went further to say that it was a ‘bad decision’.

‘We know today we lost two points. We conceded two goals – one after our free-kick – and the second goal I think that everyone can see the situation,’ he said.

‘I don’t want to talk about the decision [for the second Swansea goal] but I think it was a bad decision by the referee.

‘I can tell you that Diego Costa from the first minute to 94 minutes… he took a lot of kicks.

‘It’s incredible the defender didn’t [get sent-off] before the [end of the] match.’
