Unai Emery has said he expects Lucas Torreira to go full throttle despite the possibility of having a ban.

The Uruguayan international has already picked up four yellow cards this season and one more can see him get a one-match ban.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has said that he expects midfield ace Lucas Torreira to go all out despite having the risk of a ban being imposed on him. The player has already picked up four yellow cards this season and one more will see him miss one match as per the rules of the FA.

The Spaniard said, “We are going to play the next match in Brighton and we are going to play full, not conceding options, taking more precautions with the players. It’s the same three points in Brighton as in Liverpool. We’re going to play first in Brighton, it’s a tough, difficult match where we need every player with 100 per cent focus to do all on the pitch to win.”

Speaking about whether he will tell the player to ease off, the Arsenal gaffer said, “Could I tell him to ease off? I don’t know but I don’t want him to think about the possibility of a yellow card.”

Speaking about Matteo Guendouzi, who has picked up four yellow cards as well this season, Emery said, “I am very happy with Matteo, he’s improving a lot and helping us. He gives us a lot of moments in the team with combination and quality, with the possibility to play with our style. He needs to improve more, to continue his progress with us. He’s very young.”
