Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale has revealed that he has been playing with ‘anger in his heart’ since he decided to stay put at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer. Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane was keen on offloading the Welshman this summer and tried to do everything in his power to materialise a move.
Bale was close to a move to Chinese club Jiangsu Suning but saw it collapse after Real Madrid disagreed on certain terms. Ever since then, Bale has proven that he is an important piece of the jigsaw for Zidane.
“You play with a lot of emotion. Anger comes into it of course, but I haven’t got anything to clear my mind about,” the 30-year-old said.
“I try and give my best whether here [with Wales] or in Madrid and I will continue to do that.”
The Welshman is set to appear in his country’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Slovakia and has said that he isn’t confused or unsettled about his future.
