Neymar is out of action for Paris Saint-Germain, but Thomas Tuchel has Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani available again.

Paris Saint-Germain had been boosted by the return of Kylian Mbappe to their squad who faced Nice, with Edinson Cavani also included.

The Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain were dealt with injury blows during the international break as world-record signing Neymar and impressive midfielder Idrissa Gueye sustained hamstring issues.

But Thomas Tuchel was able to call on star attacker Kylian Mbappe again on Friday, with the World Cup winner available after a complication with his hamstring ahead of the previous match against Angers. He even scored one and set up another on his return to action as PSG claimed a 4-1 win against Nice, who finished Friday’s Ligue 1 match with nine men.

The France forward, who had to withdraw from France duty during the international break due to a hamstring issue, replaced Pablo Sarabia in the 83rd minute at Allianz Riviera and helped kill off the game after the hosts threatened a comeback.

Tuchel told a news conference on Thursday the 20-year-old has been training normally as he hoped to have him available: “I am happy that we reached an agreement with the France national team because he couldn’t play,” Tuchel said. “On Monday, he trained by himself to keep coming back. He couldn’t have played against Turkey.

Edinson Cavani, meanwhile had been sidelined by a hip injury recently and was a doubt for the match with Nice, but eventually sat out the entire match as a precaution. The 32-year-old veteran, who has been with the French capital giants since 2013 and is their all-time record goalscorer, is due to reach the end of his deal at Parc des Princes after this campaign.
