Bayern scout Van Buyten has claimed they “would never” sign him

Bayern Munich will not be making a move for Eden Hazard any time soon according to the club’s scout Daniel Van Buyten.

As reported by the Express, he has claimed that the German club would never make a move for him, or a player like him, due to the high asking price – Van Buyten believes they would have to pay about ÂŁ59m to sign him.

Bayern linked with move

The Belgian winger has had a tremendous season for Chelsea, helping them to claim a fourth Premier League title. In recent weeks Bayern had been linked with a big move for the winger but the move doesn’t look likely any more.

The scout said: “Bayern would never sign a player like Eden Hazard. He would cost between €70-80 million [ÂŁ52-59m] and that is a lot of money, even for Bayern.

“They would rather sign a 17-year-old or an 18-year-old who would cost €5m [ÂŁ3.7m] or so.”

So with the Bundesliga club looking to buy cheap rather than go all out and splash the cash on a big player, it doesn’t look like Hazard will be heading to Germany in the summer.
