Everton are keen on a move for Valencia midfielder Sergio Canales. The midfielder has found himself on the edge of the Valencia team this season, and The Mirror believe that he will be allowed to make a loan move to Everton, with a view to making it permanent in the summer.
The 22-year-old has made 19 appearances this season, but has started just seven of those and has frequently found himself on the sidelines. Canales joined Valencia from Real Madrid in 2012, but is not in the plans of manager Juan Antonio Pizzi and will be allowed to leave should a suitable offer come in.
The midfielder has represented Spain at all youth levels, and is still viewed as a player with potential in his homeland. However a combination of injuries and personal problems have stunted his development at Valencia and he could be set for a move to the Premier League, to link up with his compatriot Roberto Martinez at Everton.
