Monaco will not stand in the way of the defender leaving the club this summer
Man United are edging closer to a move for Fabinho, with reports claiming that Monaco will not stand in the player’s way if he decides to leave the club.
The Red Devils are keeping a close eye on the player and they have even asked the French club to keep them updated with any information in regards to whether he becomes available or not.
Now it appears that a deal could be on, with the 22-year old able to make the move to England if he pleases, according to this latest report.
Share the same agent
New United boss Jose Mourinho shares the same agent as Fabinho in Jorge Mendes and it has led to claims that the two could become workmates alongside each other at Old Trafford this summer because of it. Mendes is reportedly eager to bring his two clients together and it could be done this summer.
A fee would be quite high though for the defender – Monaco would want around £25m for his services but it could be well worth it for the 22-year old, who has shown a lot of promise during his time in Ligue 1.
He was a mainstay in the Monaco team last year, as he featured a total of 41 times for the club and even managed to bag himself six goals along the way from his defensive position.
For a defender, he also possesses a very good passing ability and has a tremendous tackling ability to boot and he would be a huge boost to the Red Devils side if he was to make the move to the club.
