Spanish giants FC Barcelona are keen on signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero after he was recommended by Lionel Messi.
The Argentinian has been in superb form for Manuel Pellegrini’s side so far this season, scoring eight goals, which is the joint highest along with Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge.
Reports in Spain have said that Messi has told the Catalan club to try and sign Aguero so that they can re-create their striking partnership which they have going for their country, Argentina.
It is believed that last Summer, before signing Neymar, Barca held advanced talks with the striker’s management, but nothing materialised so they decided on signing the Santos striker instead.
Worrying news for Man City is that a source close to Aguero has admitted that he loves the club and is ‘crazy’ about them.
El 9 Esportiu said: “He’s crazy about Barca.”
However, City, who want to be one of Europe’s elite teams, have no intention of selling their star-man to one of their world rivals.
