Wales are up 15 places to 11th

The latest Fifa rankings have proved to be brilliant for Wales, but disastrous for England.

The 3 Lions have dropped to 13th on the rankings, 2 spots behind Wales in 11th.

It marks a 15 place leap up the rankings for Chris Coleman’s men, who have leapfrogged ahead of managerless England.

Northern Ireland have fallen down 2 spots despite a relatively impressive Euro 2016 campaign, and Scotland have fallen right down to 50th after failing to qualify.

The other surprise package of Euro 2016, Iceland, climbed 12 places up to 22nd in the rankings. Their impressive victory against England earned them plenty of plaudits.

The top 5 teams in the ranking stayed the same, with Argentina remaining top ahead of Belgium, Colombia, Germany, and Chile. Euro 2016 winners, Portugal, moved up 2 places, and defeated finalists and hosts France jumped up 10 places. Those two teams now occupy the 6th and 7th spots respectively. Spain, Italy and Brazil then round off the top 10.
