Liverpool could offer Mario Balotelli for Gomez
Fiorentina director Andrea Rogg has revealed that the club are considering several offers for striker Mario Gomez.
Liverpool are keen to sign the 30-year-old in this summer transfer window and the Serie A side could offer the Germany international to the Reds, with forward Mario Balotelli going the other way in a swap deal.
However, the Reds face tough competition for Gomez, with Turkish giants Besiktas preparing a lucrative offer for the German, and could bid as high as £5.6million to secure the striker’s services.
Rogg has admitted that they are still considering various offers that have been made for the much-wanted frontman.
Club Reveal Interest
In response to the heavy interest from Liverpool and Besiktas, the Viola chief said: “He is a great champion and can continue to improve.
“We received more than one offer for Gomez and we’re evaluating them with the player. The Turkish option? Yes, that’s in there too.
“Mario has a certain price-tag that is tied to his career, so we must find the right balance. If not, it means we’ll have a champion in our squad who we will continue to work with.” he added.
