Chelsea legend believes Petr Cech is a huge signing
New York City star Frank Lampard has backed Arsenal to win the 2015/2016 Premier League title after they managed to sign Petr Cech from Chelsea.
The Blues legend has arrived in America, a year later that originally planned, and he has already been asked about next season’s Premier League title-race.
Speaking to the BBC about the title-race, Lampard believes Arsene Wenger luring Cech from Stamford Bridge is a ‘big deal’ due to his experience and his winning-mentality.
Cech has won almost everything you can at club level and brings a wealth of experience to a fairly young Arsenal squad, and Lampard backs The Gunners to go on and win the title next year from his old-club.

‘I think Arsenal signing Petr Cech is a big deal,’ Lampard said.
‘I think it’s been a position that a lot of people at Arsenal, fans and friends have continuously bemoaned the fact that the keeper situation hasn’t been sorted out for quite a few years.
‘So he will be huge for them, he might push Arsenal into the running. I think Arsenal weren’t a million miles away last year. Year in year out they are there or thereabouts and you have to think they will put a run together.’

Cech was at Chelsea with Lampard and spent 11-years in West London, winning three Golden Glove awards and keeping a club record 220 clean sheets.
